Started strong, as a really intriguing espionage novel starring Kane a denied access spy which means he operates in areas that are denied to most; Russia, Iran and Iraq. 60% of the novel was Kane hunting down the worlds most feared terrorist and this was a great manhunt spanning multiple countries. But then, he starts doing flashbacks to other missions, submarine travel, then goes straight into science fiction, time travel, post apocalyptic world and then back to the initial manhunt. Pages 1-400, I would recommend it. After that when the book just takes a very different turn, I couldn’t wait to be finished with it and be done with the novel. At nearly 800 pages, I wouldn’t rush to read this one. If it was half this length, I’d be more open to telling more people about this. I’ll definitely keep an eye out for Hayes next piece of work, but will certainly be hesitant to pick it up as quickly as I did his sophomore work. 2/5 stars.

Ray Porter is the man! Also, sometimes the woman. One of my favorite narrators.

Ray Porter is a brilliant narrator and I think he does an excellent job of all the voices! I don't listen with the expectation that he's going to sound exactly like a female when he reads those parts of the book. What's more important to me is that he makes each voice distinguishable from the others in the book and that he speaks with clarity and good inflection and shows emotion when necessary. I often search Audible specifically for books that he narrates because I know that he does such an amazing job. Tysm Ray - you're very talented!😊

The book was great for the first 3 parts. Part 4 jumped the shark. The unbelievable coincidences throughout are a problem but gets out of control in part 4. Total letdown. Can't recommend it.

I'm a translator and translated the second series, and was mesmerized. It's actually so good. So, now I am reading all of the Bosch series, just as someone here has commented. Yes, it is definitely Titus Welliver that I see in my internal cinema.

GREG WAS GOING TO KILL OFF JOEY?!?!?!?!? Geesh, that would have broken the series. There were a lot of "uh huh, yep, yep, yep"s in this interview. Missed Mia and Peter in Lone Wolf. Orphan X is one of my favorite series and ALWAYS goes to the top of the stack when a new installment comes out. Thanks, guys, for another really interesting interview.

Kudos, guys! I think this might be the best interview so far, at least so far as memory serves. Hayes is a hoot, unpretentious, informative, provocative, and insightful. great interview. I'm hesitant to pick up the novel though... the reviews on Goodreads were not kind. In the slightest. But as always, I like to make up my own mind, but I may wait until the paperback's released.

i couldn't imagine any other actor pulling it off..Titus is Harry Bosch.

I just found this show on prime last week. Definitely my cup of tea...tremendous acting, screenwriting and direction.

I really hope this happens! I also wish they'd continue with Mitch Rapp. There is soooo much potential with these books. There's already a "cult" following lol

About series, there is a saturation point, take a look at the Mack Bolan series, over 30 books. So far the series is interesting.
